After last night I thought I should remove my comments about the Cowboys from yesterday, but then I thought nah I'll just leave it and add something new. The Cowboys stink and if Romo is going to be the QB for the rest of the year there is no hope for the play offs.

In other news, Holly and I attended our first Stars game of the year thanks to Holly's friend. What a great game! The Stars won 2-1. If the tickets weren't so expensive I think we would go to more of those games. The American Airline Center is really cool too. Next time I'll take the camera so we can get some good pictures.

Thanks for reading and if you have some hot sports opinions let me know.

This is my favorite time of the year for sports...

All four major sports are active and the World Series is in progress. Major League Baseball is my favorite sport followed closely by the NFL. I do love college football and will try to watch at least one Big 12 game every weekend. Basketball and hockey get little air time in my house until the playoffs or March Madness begin.

MLB - Detroit v. St.Louis in the WS is pure greatness. This year I'm rooting for Detroit, the much maligned Kenny Rogers and the perennial all star, gold glove, and future hall of famer Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez are two of my favorite Rangers from years past. With Pudge and Jim back together in Detroit I don't think the Cards have a chance. Pudge has had another great year and this year as he did in 2003 he's showing that he really can manage young pitchers, something many said he couldn't do when he played for the Rangers. The Cards have Pujols, but that's about it unless Edmonds and Rolen can step it up. It should be fun......

NFL - Dallas Cowboys! I love me some me, T.O. Owens is really funny. I love that the Cowboys are now on the Ticket, KTCK 1310am. The guys on the ticket are really funny when they make fun of the Cowboys especially the fake Jerry Jones. The Cowboys should beat the Giants tonight but you never know with NFL today.

It's really fun now that W. likes to say futball and baball. He even says touchdown and raises his arms. Holly and I were worried that he wouldn't like sports.......

ACU 101

The West Texas wind blowing, being able to get anywhere in 10 minutes, and the site of a church building on every corner... we knew we were back in Abilene! What a great weekend we had with friends!

Chris and I skipped out on our club breakfast this year. We chose to sleepin and start our ACU Homecoming at the parade. We were very proud of the GSP & KJK floats. After the parade, we walked around campus and visited with friends that we hadn't seen in awhile. It is always interesting to see how people change over the years.

After our visit around campus, we went back the Beard's home for lunch and a nap. They were very kind to let us stay with them this weekend. Wyatt had so much fun playing with Kaylee and Campbell. That afternoon we were suppose to go to the ACU football game, but we didn't quite make it. Wyatt and I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 4:30pm. Oops! I guess the good news is that the Wildcats won the game and are now 6-0. http://www.acusports.com/

Do you remember Abilene BBQ? Well, that night we went to the Ag Dept. BBQ dinner. It was good to see "Doc" Dubose recognized for his years of service to the Ag Dept. He is such a great man and has finally retired. Every year the Ag Dept. auctions off hams to raise money for the department scholarships. Chris and I decided that this year we would bid. Well, we just thought we would. I was so surprised at the prices these hams were being sold. I just couldn't bring myself to bid. YES! 4 hams were auctioned off and the average price of a ham went for was $718.75. I just couldn't believe it....what a blessing for the department.

Sunday morning we went to church with the Beard's at Southern Hills Church of Christ. After church we met one of my life long friends for lunch at Cahoots. Summer, Brad, and their little boy Ethan. Wyatt and Ethan had fun making noises and drinking together! :) They are just 2 precious boys that are blessings from God. We had a nice visit and enjoyed catching up.

Our drive home was uneventful as Wyatt slept most of the way. He'd had a great time in
Abilene and couldn't even finish his thumbprint from McKay's bakery!

Good Morning Grubbs house!

Daddy is in Kansas City on work. He travels about once every month and this week he is gone.
Last night was such a fun night. If you aren't wanting to have children yet, you should have been in our home last night. Wyatt missed Chris so much he was up 3 different times in the middle of the night crying for dada. Finally, on the 4th time I just let him sleep with me I was so tired.

Remington, our dog, needed to go outside twice to check out the thunderstorm we were having. I was so sleepy! At 2:21am I wake up to see my clock flashing. The electricity has gone off in our house. As some of you know, once I am asleep it takes me awhile to wake up. The intelligent person I am at 2:21am thought okay good the clock is keeping time.

So, this morning...Chris calls me on my Sprint PCS phone. I go to answer it thinking he is calling to say good morning and wake us up. All to my surprise, the phone said 7:45am. YIKES! I am suppose to be picking my students up right now at school. Why couldn't Wyatt or Remington woken up at 6:00am or even 6:30am...I guess they just enjoy the early morning hours!

An hour later, I made it to school in one piece after grabbing breakfast at McDonald's and dropping Wyatt off at Mrs. Vicki's. Welcome to good mornings in the Grubbs home!

21 months...
What a blessing God has given us the past few months. I can't believe that tomorrow our little boy will be 21 months. Here are some things he loves:
1. He loves ice cream
2. He loves to go outside
3. He loves to throw a baseball
4. He loves to watch football (his new favorite word)
5. He loves to go to the park and climb
