Monday, March 19
I usually don't tell stories about my adventures in Ag land, but this story I think I'll share. Most of you know that I have a bachelors degree in Agribusiness. I grew up participating in 4-H, and I have a love for the farm and ranching industry.

Well tonight after a long day at school and a meeting after school, I went to my mom's house to eat dinner and pick up Wyatt. He was helping Nana, as he calls her, in the garden. They were preparing to plant seeds. Wyatt wanted to feed the horses in the barn. So being the helpful daughter and wanting to create happy memories with Wyatt, I thought we would go and feed. I probably haven't fed the horses since I was in high school or maybe once or twice when my mom was out of town, but nevertheless I was going to share this experience with my son. I mean he should have the joy in stepping in horse stalls and getting to pet Zach or "Zaza" as he calls him. So off we went to feed the horses...Wyatt in his shirt, jeans, and shoes and I in my starched white shirt, cropped black pants, and high heels! Too bad we didn't have a camera!

Day 5 of Spring Break
We had a great day staying at home. We planted flowers in the flower beds, took time to watch some worms crawl, go for a walk, and sit and watch the neighbor mow his yard. Wyatt really enjoyed being outside today. He and Remington, our dog, were watching our neighbor in this picture.Wyatt also took time to ride his big wheel!

Day 4 of Spring Break
Today Wyatt went to school and I went shopping and to get a hair cut. I just love getting my hair cut. My hair guy is wonderful. I love how you can sit down in the chair and he just makes you feel beautiful all over again. He is very talented. When I picked Wyatt up from school we dropped my car off to be repaired. The gas light has been staying on and "driving" me crazy. So, the good news is that it is just the sensor. I thought maybe the fuel pump might be going out, but we are safe! Chris met us there and we continued our shoe shopping adventure. Wyatt loves shopping for shoes or as he says, "Shooooesss." He is beginning to talk more and say more words. He is so cute when he says ease for cheese and please. I guess we need to work on those beginning sounds a little.

Day 3 of Spring Break
Wyatt and I went to the Fort Worth Zoo with our friends Jackie and Jayda. Wyatt's favorite part of the day was not the animals but riding the Yellow Rose Express. He kept on saying, "Whoo Whoo!" He loved the train.
Wyatt also loved seeing the animals. He wasn't quite sure what to think of the Hippo and Rhino, but loved the elephants, lions, and gorillas. One recommendation to everyone, don't go to the zoo on Wednesday (half price day) of spring break. It was a zoo of people!

Day 2 of Spring Break~
Today we went to the Arboretum. It was cloudy outside, and I wasn't sure if we would stay dry or not but we went anyway. We picked up some of our friends and were off. We arrived at the Arboretum to be greeted by 8 parking attendants. I wasn't sure if they needed that many, but it was a sea of orange vests and the aroma of fresh flowers.

We began by having our picture taken with a live bunny. It was so cute! The photographer will send the picture in about a week so I'll post it later. Wyatt and Jayda each made a sunflower with birdseed, sun visors, and colored a picture of a tulip. They had a great time playing and running in the grass too. For lunch, we sat in the children's garden. No one else was there so it was as if we had our own private area of the garden with children's music playing in the background. The day turned out to be beautiful. We left just in time to come home and take naps! We had a special day in the gardens!

Here is some of the fun we had today!

Splashing in the pools!

This is one of the "tree houses." There was a water mister coming from the top of the house. It made it look cloudy. Wyatt was trying to touch the water.

By the way, for those of you who are wondering...yes I did win the cookie dough contest with my class. Thanks for ordering. They were quite amazed and we had some good life lessons come from it. The cookie dough will be delivered the end of March, but in the meantime...we are enjoying SPRING BREAK and I am enjoying just being a stay at home mom!

Day 1 of Spring Break
Today was a fun day. Wyatt went to Sunshine School, and I got to sleep in. I kept waking up every 30 minutes, but I so wanted to sleep in so I just laid there in hopes that I would go back to sleep. I eventually gave in and got up. I did some shopping today and had lunch with Chris. I picked up Wyatt from school and we went shopping. We visited the Super Target. I loved it. I wish we had one closer to us. When we got home we played outside, went to the park, and cooked dinner. Tomorrow we are off to the Arboretum! :)

SPRING BREAK...
The countdown begins! Wyatt is on Spring Break from his preschool this week, but I am off ALL of next week. I am really looking forward to it! I know several of you are stay at home moms, so any ideas for us to venture off and partake in? I was thinking of the zoo. Wyatt has not been there yet, and he loves animals. Any suggestions...have a great week!
